Graphic Cards Whats the diff between GT, GTS and GTX ?

LOL too many GT, GTS, GTX.

G80 = 8800GTS, 8800GTX

G84 = 8600GT, 8600GTS

G92 = 8800GS, 8800GT, 8800GTS, 9800GTX

G92b = 9800GTX+

G94 = 9600GSO, 9600GT

my apologies for not being clear. what i meant was - which is the better in terms of performance of the lot - gt, gts or gtx cards ? Say i'm buying 9800, should i go for gt, gts , gtx - in terms of performance (ie., if there is considerable diff among the three) ?
 
GTX >> GTS >> GT

GT is the low end model of the card and GTX is the high end version hence more expensive.

Ex:

8800GT < 8800GTS < 8800GTX

1) Your current motherboard
2) PSU
3) Most important budget :P
4) Display size
5) Requirement :)
For nivida 8 series
8600 GT < 8600 GTS << 8800 GTS (320 MB 80 nm fabicartion) < 8800 GTS (640 MB 80 nm fabication) < 8800 GT (65nm fabication) < 8800 GTS (512 MB 65nm fabication) < 8800 GTX (768 mb)

for 9 series
9600 GT < 9800 GT < 9800 GTX < 9800 GTX +

for overall nvidia
its 8600 GT < 8600 GTS << 8800 GTS 320 MB < 8800 GTS 640 MB < 9600 GT < 9800 Gt = 8800 GT < 8800 GTS almost equal to 9800 GTX < 9800 GTX+ < 8800 GTX

Overall ATI is king now :)

HD 4870 is best buy and if u have the money HD 4870 X2 (big daddy of all)

even G92 GTS beats G80 GTX, GTX+ will certainly beat by big margin.

Disagree. The GTX 260 SLI kicks its arse, for the same price too.
For a single card the single 4870 1 GB is the one to get.
 
any idea how much the HD 4870 costs in india ? I see hd 4850 being highly recommended everywhere ?

Around 16.5-17K. Palit is your best bet. The 1 GB version should cost around 18.5K.

yes hd 4850 is very in 10k range

hd 4870 costs ~17k stock

and wht is ur rest of ur config?
