Its not yet final. But here goes my current rig.

Intel C2Q Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz
PDP DDR2 800 2x2GB
Abit IP35 Pro motherboard
eVGA 8800GT 512MB ( this might change soon ).
OCZ Gamexstream 700W PSU
TE U120 Extreme CPU cooler
Sony AW G170S (SATA) DVD RW flashed to NEC ROM
4X320GB 1x160GB SATA II
Housed in ANTEC 900 ( dont laugh, it was free for me :P )

There might be some changes in this in next 1-2 month though. mainly GPU might change.
Not switching over to penryn unless there is affordable 4Ghz doable quad chip for less than 15-20k.
At the moment, playing UT3, completed WIC , replaying it in hard mode, Completed HL2 finally :ashamed: , moving to EP1 and EP2, waiting for crysis to release in India.

If you want to spot a wannabe gamer then here is the perfect example :ohyeah:...

A true gamer will post more about his keyboard/mouse rather then his PSU & the CPU cooler :bleh: and will discuss how will he/she be trying to get his hands on a particular game on /before the release date rather then how soon he will upgrade tp a faster CPU...

If i for one wanted to upgrade i would do it before i start playing a particular game other wise the hand to eye calibration for that particular action game goes haywire if i have to upgrade in the middle of the game which messes up the whole game play ;)...

Maybe i should put a waring tag with the original post that show off kids /so called enthusiasts will be dealt harshly :ohyeah:

P.S. How in the hell does a Cabinet break into this thread :S

C2D AMD 4400X/2 oc 2.9 GHS AT stock fan :D

Haha, my mouse and keyboard has not changed in more than year and half.
I still use my trusty MX518 which i am soo used to that i dont even mention it anymore. I dont care if a mouse with gazillion DPI comes out. I simply too used to and comfortable with that mouse. And keyboard is same Microsoft RT2300. I have changed 4 of them but with same model over last 2 years.

As far as getting used to new core hardware is concerned, I dont find it too difficult to be honest. I have used x1900, 2900, 8800GT in last 2 months. Does not make much difference getting used to feel of the new card. Ofcourse I can now crank up some details in games like WIC.

I am not a hardcore gamer. I am casual gamer and I play games for fun and timepass. but when I do play games i want them to look nice :P
Thats why when i started playing games again i upgraded the GPU ;)

I dont play long hours, I play for 30mins, pause/save go get a tea, watch some news, browse TE, again go back to gaming kinda gamer

^^^ can you donate me a mouse pad gaming for me :ashamed:

me too not much heavy hardcore gaming :P

Q6600 2.4GHz

Dual 400GB HDDs

same as before, not upgrading or changing anything.
