What's your web source for national news ?

Is there no news site in India which doesn't have unbiased news, ads, clickbait articles or a toxic comment section ? I have to lurk on reddit to get news but I'd like to know if there's one site that has all events posted in an objective and professional manner (lol sounds like I'm asking for a bit too much).

The worst offender is the TOIlet paper web portal, looks like it was designed by an amateur, is littered with irrelevant and clickbait articles mostly of the Sunny Leone kind and the comment section in every article turns into a Hindu-Muslim battleground, the concept of comment moderation is alien to those people. TOI was a good daily in the late 90's/early 00's when I used to get it in school, now it's a joke and not even worth wiping your ass with if all the TP in the world were to run out.

It's kinda embarassing when even a Pakistani daily has a website with a good layout and civil comment section.

i get it directly from the suppliers like PTI, ANI, Reuters, IANS and AFP. these guys sell stories to the newspapers, magazines etc.

Well, reddit is not exactly unbiased if you ask me. It is better to follow multiple sources for national/international news and formulate an opinion based on those inputs. Try Flipboard.[DOUBLEPOST=1450371656][/DOUBLEPOST]Dawn looks pretty standard. Many Indian national dailies have similar interfaces. Try their apps maybe.

Well reddit itself isn't a source for news, people always link to other news portals. I just use it for the convenience.

That's how a professional news site is supposed to be - minimal and clutter free.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/

Indian sites on the other hand have the appearance and content usually associated with tabloids.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/

Our news channels also suffer from the same problem. Just tune into any of em and you'll see three hashtags, flashing animations, ad banners, four lines of scrolling text and a permanent "Breaking News" banner. Not to mention the actual footage is limited to a super small window to support standard resolutions.
Compare that to something like Al Jazeera which is easy on the eyes.

Reuters India website does fine for me. Just imagine old DD's English news readers' style but in written format.
Very clean and uncluttered too both the mobile and desktop site.
