WhatsApp and Other Websites Down

Confirmed: The DNS records that tell systems how to find https://t.co/qHzVq2Mr4E or https://t.co/JoIPxXI9GI got withdrawn this morning from the global routing tables. Can you imagine working at FB right now, when your email no longer works & all your internal FB-based tools fail?

I checked and indeed Facebook and IG are also not accessible. Youtube is working.

Anyone else getting such errors currently?

At least the world was a better place for quarter of a day. Always keep wondering if all Google services also went down simultaneously, then will there be anarchy?

They have a huge price to pay considering a lot of big businesses use their G-Suite packages. It could lead to huge fines or be sued for causing loss to the business.

Google has had outages before but those were usually limited to few products and got resolved quickly. I think their infrastructure has enough compartmentalization and redundancy.

That being said, it's a nice thought experiment.
