WhatsApp Annoying Glitch: Requires Biometric Authentication Twice

I've been dealing with this issue for several weeks now, every time I open WhatsApp, I have to perform biometric authentication twice.
I've tried reinstalling the app and even the Android OS, but nothing seems to fix it.

Is anyone else facing this issue, have you found a solution?

For me it asks for 6 digit pin every week though.

Remove two step verification and then check. It shall work normally and then set it again.

Finally works as required, only one single authentication.
