When can I expect this to reach me?

I have an USPS parcel shipped and it cleared customs on Jan-29th in India.. But after that I dont see any updates. I guess it is now in the hands of Indian postal system. Any idea guys to I track its status in India and when approximately it will arrive ?

It took exactly 27days for my box to reach home after getting the "out of foreign customs" status.

You should also pray that someone doesn't open it in in the IPS(thats postal service) I have had 2 blank boxes delivered to me till date. In one they left the packing material also, total effect:lol:

LOL dude dont tell me that.. Can i go to the post office here and collect it by telling them the USPS parcel no? Before someone opens it..

I hope they will not be interested in computer MB/processor to take it :S

Go to the foreign post office on Museum Rd. Go to the third floor there with that tracking no with you. Ask the main customs guy about it.

Its open Monday-Friday 11am-6pm I think. Go on monday. Surprisingly the customs inspector in Bangalore is a completely honest and down to earth gentleman and never created any problem for me.

All he'd ask you is for the invoice. Take the invoice that you have and show it to him. If its a gift, mention its a gift and that you don't have an invoice. In that case I think he'd value the item himself. You'll be charged duty @21.4% if its a computer part. You'd have to go to your local PO, pay the duty and pick up the parcel.
