Laptops When is Intel Core2Quad based laptops coming?

:) Hi, I'm planning to get a laptop, somewhere around Rs. 23,000-24,000. But am holding on as I think that prices will drop once Core2Quad based laptops hit the market — and then for the same money I'll be able to a dual-core laptop instead of a Celeron as now. My friend advised I wait till mid-March 2008. What do you think?
 
I doubt Intel plans to release a Quad Core mobile platform due to heat and power consumption issues.

At the most you can wait for the new T7xxx 45nm platform.
 
There is a quad for mobile scheduled at q3,but its an extreme part,which means an arm or leg or both.

45nm core 2 mobiles are T9xxx (6M) and T8xxx (3M)..
 
Thanks Pals. I think I'd go for a Lenovo 3000 G410. It costs Rs. 22,000 and gives me all that other celeron 1.86 vendors are giving me, but at Rs. 3,000 cheaper. The only thing is that one vendor claimed that Compaq v3225 AU is AMD dual core. Really? 'cause that costs Rs. 24,500 and might be a good choice then...
 
If I am right Xoticpc.com offers Sager 9262 with Q6600 Quad for desktop.But very xpensive and this is nt a notebook quad too.
