When you got married ?

I was yesterday bumped out when I heard, that my cousin's friend is getting married.

He is just 10 days past his 21st...and 6 days from now he will be signing a treaty of death

:p Jokes apart....

Suddenly while sleeping that night I pictured myself into that situation and it scared SHIT out of me.

So the real thing is, I was wondering how its like to be if you get married early and yes you don't regret it.

Is there anyone who can change my prospective on this?
 
I doubt you'll be getting many responses here -better rephrase the question to future tense:p

i did not get married early so i wont know .but marrying at 21 is a scary thought ... havent heard of anyone that young getting tied up ..sheesh
 
well i have sister before me to get married and in our community for the marriage atleast within my family, guys wont be bugged 4 death treaty till age 27.... i am only 23 now... i have 4 more years of happy life :hap2: b4 i sign death treaty :(
 
90% of my college friends are already married..... there are a few of us still holding out against the impending "Reign of Chaos" :p

but seriously, marrying at 21 or marrying at 31 - makes no difference, as long as you are ready - and if you ain't -- make sure concerned parties are notified in time :p

Hmm am 25, and un-married not so common in my community (gujju jain). I think I will have my freedom for 3 more yrs :)

On other notes Techhead is a gujju jain too, and I bet he will get married within a year :) someone please calculate the odds, nice betting topic... hehe
 
A classmate of mine during my M.Tech had 3 kids at the time. The first was born some time after he joined for B.Tech. Guess when he married? When he was 8 years old. He showed me his marriage photos too. :p

Anyways my take on the matter is do not marry untill you are ready both emotionally and financially. Stabilize in a job/business, get ready to take take responsibility and then think about marriage. I have seen a lot of people who were forced into marriage by their parents when they are only 20~25 years old. Many of them suffered intense stress due to that. Due to the instability of their position, they cannot take any risks to further their careers, have troubles with managing their married life etc.

Although I'd plans to settle down by 24, I've extended the deadline to 27-28;
Freedom to the core, less responsibilities, ample time to earn, spend and save; :)
Hope my gf is not reading this here; :ashamed:

Just because Shaunak and Dhrumil and Bhavyesh and Agam and...heck, all our common friends are getting married, you're signing my death warrant :p

mine too same even my sister but i will get marriage later till 27-32 so wait for new eduction and proper job
 
:) Not till 30 atleast...enjoying the happy feeling of a carefree bachelor...

^^ True, as any girl would want to get happily (read lazily settled) by 25-26, so the only ones we get after 30+ are the ones who were unable to get settled and live a lazy settled life :)
