I am looking for a VCR (or a VCR/DVDR combo) to convert some VHS tapes (~50 in number) into digital format (DVD). I prefer a VCR that plays both NTSC and PAL (or NTSC at the least - since all the tapes that i am trying to convert are of NTSC)

I did try shops that do video editing, but it is working to be more expensive (Rs300 and hr)

1. Where can buy VCR these days - have not seen them at shops now-a-days
2. Model #
3. I do not have a budget in mind - mid range VCR should be fine

A museum perphaps :P

On a serious note, I have a panasonic VCR lying at my home. But I am sure whether it's STILL working or not!

actually i have seen vcr with dvd recorder of brands lg and other ones and i was quite suprised to see them as i thought they are no more in production, when i went to Melbourne. But i could not able to bring any one because of size constraint and also because of customs as i was not aware how much worth of electronics i can bring as itself the cost of electronic items are expensive in aussie.

I think VCR's are still sold in singapore. Atleast i saw a VCR/DVD combo player on a singaporian website some weeks ago.
