My Nokia E-51 stopped working some days back. The Nokia Customer Care center checked the handset and has mentioned that it's "liquid damaged" and that they will be unable to repair it. (I don't recall it getting wet in the rain or other doomsday scenario, but it seems that there several other scenarios contributing to "liquid damage").

Can someone recommend a shop which can repair such "liquid damaged" mobile phones. Alternatively is there some way in which I can salvage my investment in this phone (given the fact that i have spend 13k in buying it)?

Nokia should be able to repair it even if its liquid damaged. They will of course charge you for it since its not covered by warranty. Try talking to them or someone like the manager or something.

I had spoken to the Manager at the Nokia Customer Care center, he had mentioned that they can't repair the handset :( I had tried all approaches with these guys and was even ready to pay the repairing costs but they are just refusing to repair it.

@deep_nx

Can you give me the name of the shop/s in heera panna that can fix this?

Also, few more details of outlets who can repair such phones are welcome.

^ Forget it....its gone......My N72 was actually liquid damaged and since then it has found a place in my showcase.....'x' no. of mobile repair persons have failed to fix it...and a few shop walla's have quoted the price of repair to almost 4-5k.....yea I know they would eventually buy a second hand n72 and rip the parts from there for that price......

secondly....Nokia people 'deliberately' damanged my LCD when I went there to show them the phone after the damage. They cut of the wire going from the LCD to the IC board.....freaks :@ now I'm getting 1k off from a cellphone dealer on my next purchase in xchange for the dead n72 :(
