Where to buy in Singapore?

Hi Guys,

My BIL is visiting Singapore in August. He wants to buy a lappie and a Mobile Phone there. Could you guys point out the trustworthy places where a good deal can be had?

Kindly give your advice and share your experiences.

Not worth it. The prices are going to be above Indian retail due to INR performing sh**. Even if he narrows done on something, tell him to call back India and cross-reference the price. Then only pick up. I remember seeing the Galaxy Tab 2 for like 24K (after conversion) where it was like 19500 INR here. A month back I was there. Most electronics will not be worth. Probably a watch is a better bet. Or garments, which are not available here, if he is fashion/brand conscience.

Trust me.recently been there. Nothing to buy there. Almost everything is cheap in India itself the exception being led tv.

Don't buy anything from Singapore at the current exchange rates. I am here in Singapore from the past 2 and a half months, comparatively prices in India are cheaper now.

You can buy IEM,'s which may not be locally available in India if you are interested
