Hey guys,

I just found out a very good source of very good (in fact the best if you ask me) whey protein in India.

I just bought flavored (butterscotch) 1 kg whey from the seller and it tastes fine! I have tried the raw tasteless one but it was too hard for me to consume. Your experience may vary.

Btw he is the only guy who sells BiPro whey. Use your friend Google to find out what BiPro is!

I will try it soon. I will avoid branded whey from now on. Davisco rocks.

I take two scoops a day so I get 48 grams of proteins from whey everyday + eggs and other sources. At this price and the goodness of a brand like Davisco I don't think anything comes close.

Issues in public interest :)

Vivek.

Its pretty costly. MuscleBlaze is cheaper and its hard to trust anyone that sells in plain packets or repackages in india. They say its machine packed from higher quantity packs. But in India, you dont trust a seller's word. They are probably in a small place with cheap labour filling packets with hands >.<

Is there a way to get these tested for protein quantity and quality? And perhaps find out if these guys are actual resellers?

For all you know even MuscleBlaze might be hand filled by cheap labour, lol
No use trusting indian manufacturers, they will go to any lengths to earn profit

Do whey protein powders contain preservatives? Have seen threads on reddit where protein powders were good even after not being used for 1-2 years with the seal off

Doubts are understandable. I actually am on chatting terms with the seller. He is a fitness enthusiast himself, young guy who runs a family owned business. He is not a typical seller. I have used the whey I got, nothing suspicious about it. The package was tested for quality and weight by shop clues. I know all this is not convincing enough but I have a feeling the guy is genuine. The flavor of whey is good. The flavoring as per seller is done in a fully Certified GMP Plant. I can ask for more details about that. Muscleblaze is costlier than Davisco and its price is too good to be true honestly.

Does this davisco protein mix well with water with just shaking or do we have to use a blender?
Also is it easy to digest? Are you getting any stomach problems even small issues like minor cramps or bloating after taking this protein?

Easily mixes in water without blender. Just shake and consume.[DOUBLEPOST=1428721546][/DOUBLEPOST]
How do they test for quality?
probably weight packing. They won't spend thousands to test protein content of whey.

I just stumbled upon this post. I have tried the Davisco,Saputo, Muscle Blaze, Six Pack Nutrition and other Indian/cheap brands and then got a very good deal on 'Scitec Nutrition'. I then realised that I was wasting so much money on these cheap brands. The performance of Scitec 100% professional whey is atleast 50 times better, yes I am not exaggerating. I never had abs whatever I did. Ever since I switched to Scitec my abs started popping up, overall pump and size grew within a fortnight. That feeling is priceless. I agree different people have different needs and everything doesn't give the same results for everyone, but none of the cheap brands were even near this performance. Simply, awesome. I only buy Glutamine/creatine from Muscleblaze.

That much improvement in a fortnight is questionable. Did you recently started taking creatine?

Link to the brand on healthkart?

Can't find on healthkart.
How better when compared to Ultimate Nutrition or Optimum Nutrition.

I bought in clearance sale,it's OOS now.

I had always used local brands like the ones mentioned in my post so can't compare it to ON or Ultimate Nutrition. I had used Dyamtize Elite XT for 3 months with Muscle Blaze/Six pack nutrition whey but didn't feel any extra.

No, I was already taking Neurocore which has creatine before changing the protein. Yes, I started taking some extra glutamine and more carb. My point is this was my first good international brand WHEY and it was so much better than the local or cheap ones that I am not going back to those again. It made me gain the most from my workouts.

Abs from whey? Are you sure bro?

Davicso and Saputo are not local brands!

Low fat, fast acting and quality protein does help you in cutting fat and making those abs more visible.

As for the Davisco and Saputo,

1. I tried them because I knew they are from quality source, but they lack digestive enzymes. Which are necessary to make use of maximum protein content. Without enzymes good amount of protein just go undigested that is a waste. You can buy enzymes separately like this one.
http://www.amazon.in/HealthAid-Digeston-Papaya-Digestive-Enzymes/dp/B002E0G4EA
2. They are suppliers to other supplement brands which mix enzymes and other kinds of proteins and BCAAs as per their own proprietary formula making it more effective.
3. Brands like ON and Dymatize are most popular because their main source of protein is WPI, not WPC as in Davisco and Saputo.
4. Even Tara Nutricare's whey was better in comparison to Saputo. IMO

To end, everyone is different so some things might work for me but can't be same for others. So, don't accept what anyone says. Try it yourself and see what difference does it make.[DOUBLEPOST=1434249526][/DOUBLEPOST]On the contrary, here's some interesting read about controversies even big brands are selling less amount of protein and spiking the content with cheaper products like Amino acids.

Also, read this how to be more sure while buying protein next time.
