Storage Solutions Which 1.0~1.5TB HDD to get?

Guy's its almost time for me again to add yet another HDD to my rig. My 2.3TB disk space is almost finished :P

This time I want to go for a 1~1.5TB HDD. I am out of touch with the 1TB+ HDD market, so I don't have any idea about the options available. I would much rather prefer a 1.5TB HDD, but I heard there are problems with the Seagate 1.5TB model (ST31500341AS). Are there any other good 1.5TB alternatives from Seagate or WDC?

WD 10EADS 1TB 32MB - 5.7k

WD 1001FALS 1TB 32MB - 6.8k

The problems related to the 1.5TB Seagate drive seems to have ruled out with the future revisions. Perhaps the recent f/w update could have fixed that. Some peeps in TE have the same drive and AFAIK they're yet to face problems. :P
 
Get the Seagate 1.5TB from ebay.in

The new drives are all with the new CC1H firmware & have no issues at all.Only thing is the 3 yr warranty instead of 5 in WD. If u can live with that a 1.5TB for 6.9k is the best deal :D

@Supra, isn't that ebay coupon code applicable only for HDFC users.

Anyway's I will be getting the HDD through Amarbir only.
