I need to buy a new panel and i am a looking forward for a 22" instead of a 24" cause of the following thread http://www.techenclave.com/pc-peripherals/why-to-go-24-over-22-a-111371.html

So now which 22" is a good buy...

I would have gone for a 22" Dell Ultrasharp but thats unavailable... So my next choice is a Dell SP2208WFPfor 15K approx... Any other ones which are decent and fall in the similar price range...

I am looking for multiple input options (1x VGA,1 x DVI and 1 x HDMI at minimum)... But can forgo that if the panel is really good... Budget about the same... So suggest me a good one...

TIA

yes even i will interested in this one . am sick of my 15in crt now :) . guys pls suggest there aint any pva , sips any company at all ?

The LG 226WTQ is the best option but its being phased out. So check out if u guys can get it from Croma/reliance Digital. Price is arnd 12.5~13k all incl :D

I have one and its much better than the previous Dell E228WFP :)

Some good 22inchers:

1. SP2208WFP; [2k:1 CR; HDMI + DVI + D-Sub; Glossy screen; Pretty decent factory calibration]

2. LG L226 WTQ; [5k:1 DCR; DVI + D-Sub; Glossy Screen; Ghosting issues solved with newer f/w;]

3. E228WFP; [800:1 CR; DVI + D-Sub; 22"er base model from Dell; matte screen]

I guess u're only left with the option of SP2208WFP considering the inputs required; which's indeed a decent buy; :)

Good one gannu....the LCDs ranks r good. But the LG ghosting issue is solved now with new firmwares :)...but still the Dell SP2208 is better than the LG but arnd 3k costlier also :)

Samsung 226BW is good LCD, but its priced insanely here, any body knows latest price ??

Its 15999 in Croma with some freebies as well :)...but with the panel lottery I would suggest to avoid it :P

Yup.. Priced at 15k+ and as Supratim suggested, being a panel lottery, it aint worth it;

And I guess talking to the Dell peeps in the right sense can work out things much easier; :lol:

Switch should be ding it now I guess;

And a couple of buys together should further lower the price; :)

@200mph: The SP2208WFP has a good TN panel mate; A non-TN should set u back by 20k+; not worth it IMO; :)

not right now switch just got my self 2 HDD's :) . will check out your buy and will buy in one soon hopefully :D

I can feel your pain. I am on a 15 inch crt too (my first and only one!)

So if Switch and 200mph, if you get a good quote, try getting a lower one for a group order.

I am thinking of the Dell Ultrasharp 2208WFP (TN) ( I need swivel and with a TN, you should always consider a versatile stand since you are limited by viewing angles).

For the S-PVA, if I plan on saving up for a 24 incher, I have narrowed down Dell 2408WFP UltraSharp 24" (what @Naga got) or the Samsung 245T

The model's been phased out;

And if u can source the US2408WFP for 25k odd [Like how naga did we 3 bulk orders], its a good price; :)

i think 22vt from aoc, donn really remb the model no. But the best is l226wtq, I know a vendor who has few peices left, so lemme know asap. I will try to arrange if i can but the prize is 14.8-14.9 fixed.

Well i guess after all that reserch i might just go in for the 24" as 22" is a glossy panel and i kindda hate it cause i cant use it with a light switched on in the background :(

I know the Ultrasharp has been phased out, but I would still try getting it :P. Else, saving for a 24 incher.

Lol, it retails @ 13k all inc [12.5k sometimes] at the Croma and Reliance Digital;

Dude, it aint a issue if u can position it well; :)

The SP2208WFP and the L226WTQ will beat the entry level 24inchers [E248WFP for eg.]

black n blue out of the box;

Sigh, our advices're going no place if after all this u settle for a 24incher; :(

Well, final decision is urs anyhow; :)

lol... Well i have a Compaq lappy with a glossy screen and i kinnda get irritated by it at times... Well let me do one thing... Let me go to the reliance digital store here... Will check it out in person...

^^ The difference between a LCD monitor and a laptop being that you don't take your monitor around with you and don't have to tilt it upwards thus making it susceptible to irritating light reflections. :D

Isn't it? ;) Unless you're The Incredible Hulk and like to place 22" monitors on your lap. :D

dude no matter where ever you buy from, but a 22 incher and save money. since 2 inches is hardly a noticible difference from 22" to 24", unless to wanna buy 30" instead of 22" than i would say that a smart change. moral of the story: buy 22" lcd only try your best for LG.
