Graphic Cards Which 6800 to get ?

In D3 and Q4, the 6800 unlocked to 16x6 will beat the 6600GT by some margin.

I score about 40FPS at 1024x768 with 4xAF on my 6800 with a A64 3000+

Considering you have a XP 2600+ you'll probably have to drop AF to 2x, otherwise Q4 and D3 will be fine.

If you feel 6800 is good, go get it, don't wait for opinions here as the 6800 is always criticised for some reason or the other :p

DOOM3 is the only game that'll improve and not much else. From a 9800, anything less than a 6800GT/X800XL is not worth upgrading to.

I have a 2600+ and BFG finally sent me a new 6600gt afer 2 months.
Getting 45fps at 1024 4xaa 8xaf at non-oc speeds (500/1000), that's faster than a 6800 on an a64 3000+ =\
So you can safely rule out the 6800 and start thinking about a 6800gt.

Or if you really really want quake4 performance at a budget, get the 6600gt. Although it's not advisable as your 9800pro will perform the same once you turn off shadows (not much considering you will save 9k).
 
I know rates are gonna fall now...but maybe not on AGP, but ill get a 6800 now as someone is coming down and sell my 9800p, its in great condition. Maybe next year i can get a x850..........dont want to bow down to all this PCI-E hype. Crap forced expenses.
