I have 100's of bookmark sites and then within site i have bookmarked specific pages... the builtin bookmark managers of firefox and opera are good but now that i use ie, opera and firefox together, jugling the bookmarks between them is a problem...... Hence i am thinking of using a standalone bookmark manager... But after searching a few sites i could not arrive at any good solution.....

So please help me with info on what you use to manage your bookmark....????

this is a lil off..

but incase u looking for bookmarks while u wrk on multiple pc's...

check out foxmarks for firefox.. here

It's too good !! :)

Edit: It actually fits ur bill perfectly..

the builtin ff plugin keeps a tab of ur bmarks...

and while being away.. u can acces ur bmarks from ur online foxmarks web account !!

Enjoy !!

Forgot 2 mention -->> Reps welcome (any and all !! ;))

if you're looking for a universal, online bookmark manager there's nothing better than del.icio.us.

even msn has come up with a think like that ..

its called windows live favorites

it is integrated with the live messenger

i have used it to acces firefox bookmarks, ie and del.ico ....

u can see all your bookmarks in the messenger itself

In such case I suggest you to try Bookmark Base. It allows you to sync bookmarks as between browsers so between computers.

I have a similar requirement but with a different twist.

I use dual boot XP VISTA & most of my bookmarks are on XP+firefox but now there are few bookmarks on Vista+firefox.

What I want is that Both should have each others bookmark, in past I have tried many but Sync messed up badly & I lost bookmarks, the recent try is google bookmark synch which I tried 3 days ago & now I see lot of empty folder (bookmark lost).

Is there a simple offline method (i have failed on using 3 different online methods) & there is a privacy concern with online method, I don't need to share bookmarks just need sync so if some are missing from vista it should have it &some are missing on XP it should also have it.

It would be simple if FF let you choose a directory in which bookmarks are kept so both the comp can show & store bookmark to &from the same folder.

I use del.icio.us and also the firefox plugin for it. Depending on the time I either bookmark things in FF or through the bookmark button of del.icio.us. Once in a while I sync things at both ends.

Does it not automatically sync, I have a huge amount of categorized bookmarks 1,62,000 in 280 directories & I want that my directory structure should remain the same.

If I create some new directory on vista & add 10 bookmarks in that it should sync & show me on XP too.

USe Opera dude. Once you add a bookmark in Opera, it synchs them to your my.opera acount. When you use opera somewhere else, just sync back the online bookmarks using your u.no/password.

Also, not only bookmarks but also your personal par and speed dial are also synchronized.

del.icio.us plugin doesnt do that. It just asks you every time you add a bookmark if you would want to add it into del.icio.us. Otherwise you have to sync it manually.

Using opera is not possible I am to addicted to using FF + so many extensions..................I am spoilt with FF now.

Can Opera use FF extension?
