Graphic Cards Which brand 7600GS to buy?

Got it from a local Mumbai dealer who in turn got it from Zebronics. It costs approx 7.5K and i paid 250 extra to the local dealer for fetching it and installing (service charge). They (zebronics) had to order the Xtreme edition from Banglore and I got it a day after I placed the order. It has 2 games budled, Serious Sam II and Trackmania Nations.

Gainward > XFX~Leadtek > Palit > Forsa > BIG

avoid BIG cards ...they have a very high failure rate.

Leadtek and XFX are very good. Problem with Gainward is availability.

Guys I've been looking all around, but I could only find the BIG 7600gt in stock, rest all seem to be out of stock indefinately .... atleast here in Bombay.
I want to get this done ASAP cos I m gettin a good deal on my 9800pro.

Well why don't you buy Palit 7600 GT instead of GS.It is priced at Rs.8900. (only 2k more than your budget)Don't know about its customer care service in india but it is an internationally reputed quality brand. Although not very well known in india right now and maybe difficult to find. This is a good VFM card.

Whatever you choose, do NOT go for any of the passively cooled 7600GS models. My 7600GS came factory overclocked and the core temps reached 89 to 90 degrees C under load.

Go ahead and invest in a 7600GT from Palit or Leadtek. This is one investment you'll be happy to pay a little extra for.

In plain terms GT would give you much better performance than GS. See any of the reviews of GT cards which compare them to GS and you would notice.

Not only they run at higher clock speeds, but it mostly has higher everything (all the other jargon that you hear about these cards e.g. clock speeds, memory speeds, pixel shaders, etc)

Somebody more techie could give you more technical differences, but the bottom line is, your NFS cars and environment is going to look more realistic with a GT card as compared to a GS one !
