Graphic Cards Which brand x1900xtx to get ?

is gecube bad, i just ordered one from india

also, at newegg many 1900xt are available for sub 400$ with rebates while 1900xtx maybe for 450-525 or more.

also, i saw benchmarks where 1900xtx was much faster, maybe 15% or so.

Why would you trust MSI more? :S Out of all of them id rather trust Sapphire or Powecolor.

And techboy the difference is 5-7% at the absolute max, less usually.

I disagree with hunt3r here....for some reason, Powercolor strikes me as the cheap brand. I would go for Sapphire(obviously), HIS, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte.....I would go for Powercolor only as my last option.

I remember when I was thinking of buying a 9800Pro, the powercolors were more easil available, cheaper but also lower clocked. Somehow that really turned me offf.....

And I had read a few reviews of Powercolor's bad build quality.

XFX too was the same but at least they have improved a lot. There is nothing to suggest the same thing has happened with Powercolor.

All BBA cards are Sapphire, so VFM wise the Sapphire is best. All R520/580 cores reach 90c+ on load so check if the ICEQ3 really drops those temps and btw whoz bringing it for u this time around?

I know of a Sapphire 9600 np dying, but atleast their high end models are good, MSI have never encountered any probs with the brand so far. Powercolor, the less said the better.

Powercolour in days of 9800 series was trash brand.

Not same anymore. All x1k series is basically same exception of HIS.

Rest all are 100 % identical cards. Most made by sapphire itself.

HIS is only one going out of box that too only for heatsink design.

The talk of Powercolour x1900/x1800 having low quality components is baseless. Honestly its same card that sapphire sells. And powercolour is giving lifetime warranty now.

I had a choice between :
Sapphire: Needed to be shipped from Mumbai, so ruled against it
MSI/Asus: There was no big importer and in case a problem occured the card would need to go abroad to the company, so ruled it out
Gecube: Ordered it, 3 yrs warranty, in the toms benchmarks all 1900XTXs and 1900XTX OCs give 100% similar fps ef: 59 59 59
I ordered a 1900XT though
Is it fine?

But how is Powercolor's after sales service ? MSI has pretty good support in case of RMA ing in US.
And if you are getting a card from US, previous track record matter more here. Sure most of ATI's high end cards are assembled by Sapphire.

here and in us its decent.
I never had to test their service but my friends 9700 made by powercolour died last year and it got replaced within 2 weeks from what i can remember.
In US even sapphire tech support is pure crap. people are reporting 3-4 weeks delays on sapphire in US as sapphire is basically not US brand and they have limited staff in USA.

I think mediatech handles powercolour here and they are ok. So nothing too much to worry about if you are making local purchase. If its from USA, well it does not matter. get the cheapest or HIS is the mantra unless you can get better bundle at just few bucks more ( powercolour does not bundle anything with the card. Only card, drivers and cables. Thats it. )
