Which Broadband Connection should I go For?

Hi,
I am planning to get a broadband connection. I am ready to pay about Rs. 1000 per month. Which one according to you is the best as of today?
I stay in Mumbai.
 
^^^hmmmm, it is not 900 pm exactly, its 900 rental+99 for modem rental+tax, so one will have to end up in paying around Rs.1100/ month. But this one is a nice plan, you can go for it.
 
There is no Airtel in all areas in Mumbai.

Check if its available in your Area.

If not, then go for Exatt, 256kbps, around 1000 pm depending on how much your Local Cable operator will charge.

go for igate, 256k unlimnited 1000pm..contact them on 24010253. the in some areas come independent of cable operators and the reason i suggest igate is that if u are a downloader then u may want to download at faster speeds as igate provides uncapped bandwidth frm 12 midnite to 9 am.
 
Uncapped Bandwidth?.. WOW!! How is the service of igate? Customer support and all?
My local cable wallah loots me.. provides unlimited d/l only for 64 kbps plan; that too for 700 pm.. and p2p sharing blocked between 9 am to 10 pm. Neways, I hav stopped using p2p, but still, isnt that just so mean?

What are the installation charges (One time payment) for airtel and igate?
And do u get LAN sharing with any of these?

what speeds do u get wiht it uncapped??
 
**** i had 7 star in 7Bungalows he ripped me off right now i have nothing at home considering going for triband the unlimeted download in the night.

I am from 4 bunglows, even I have 7 star.. and I would love to tear that pamphlet that he distributes into pieces and throw it on his face!
 
hi guys,

uncapping is awesome, i am using the 256k unlimited plan so i get 90k download speeds on http frm 12 am to 9 am and speeds of 60k on torrents, maybe more if the torrent is well seeded. the speeds mentioned above are for uncapped bandwidth.

guys for downloaders, igate is heaven......

customer support si good....
 
^^ Downtime is a lil on higher side. But yes they also have a 160 KBPS plan for 875 a month, with uncapped speeds from 12 to 9 in the night.
 
^^ what good is an internet connection when u r never sure that it is gng to die out on you....Esp on weekends....

I had a bad time with Hathway due to their stupid downtimes....Go for airtel if avilable without thinking twice.....Zero downtime....Even during the floods in chennai :yahoo:
 
^ i agree with superczar there, any cable connection would have more chances of downtime during rains, power-out's etc. so you have to decide do you need a stable(but low bandwidth)connxn or unstable(uncapped/9hrs high b/w)connxn.
 
Check if Airtel is available, they've got the best customer service. Then check Iquara, uncapped bandswidth looks very good deal. Then Exatt.

they've got the best Unlimited plans for arnd 1000.

ignore the rest. (sify, Mtnl, Bsnl etc, they're all ripoffs)
 
I cant find Mumbai or even Maharashtra in the regions list.. I stay in Four Bunglows Andheri (West), Mumbai. Any idea whther they provide connection here?
