Airtel is ADSL and has given me a ethernet modem & it connects to my LAN card.

I am using Airtel unlimited 256kbps with 3 computers... 2 with a LAN cable and 1 with Wi-Fi. I have a D-Link router.
Does airtel require a dialer? My tata indicom connection is always on and no dialing crap.

yes and no. Its depends on what modem they give you, just random. If they get you a dialer one just request them to get the lan direct connect one.

Airtel Requres a dialer when ADSL USB modem is used, but when a Router is used its an always on and no dialing. I prefer the Single Port Ethernet Router(thats what the airtel guyz say) to a USB modem.

The advantage is When the power goes off and comes back one doesn't need to be there to reconnect the net, usefull while downloading and you are not there.
