Well I was looking to change the M9 for lots of reason .. Anyway since most of the major components are pretty good I was thinking of getting a good cabinet for my.

Reason : The VX450 has lots of wires , routing the wires behind the 5 1/4 drives makes the back panel a little open which is not good IMO..

Secondly there is no proper way for cable management, there are no holes in the MB tray to pass and clean the mess. The SMPS is located at the top itself :P

Now what I am looking is spacious case for one time investment :P :bleh: Yeah I won't be changing it for long time say 4-5 years. But modding can be done later if I feel like..

Requisite
  1. Space and Cooling.
  2. Holes in the MB tray for better routing from back of the tray.
  3. Decent fans and ability for exhaust from the top as well.
  4. A side from which I can peek in through, like Acrylich sheet or honey comb vent.
  5. Ability to hold 3-4 drives and SMPS at the bottom.
  6. Tool less design will be handy.

Budget and what I have decided :-

My budget is around 6-7k
and I cannot exceed. I am planning to get Xigmatek 120mm as well if the case doesn't have decent fans ..

I have decided upon NZXT Tempest , HAF 922 and what else ? I am little confused as well. The NZXT has more plastic and I don't like the overall look. But its more VFM and comes with lots of fans. ? One the other hand HAF feels sturdy and offers good airflow as well. No dust filters ?

What about Antec 902 ? Full Black Interiors ? Anyidea on the pricing ?

Please do keep the suggestions coming :) Purchase will be made once i have got some moolah :P

Regards

HAf 922......overall better in features.

We will be grandpas by the time the case arrives in India:rofl:
Antec Indian distri sucks:@:@:@

Just enquire abt 902, if the case retails even for 8k its a good buy. But 1 issue with antec is Upside down PSU placement. PSU acts as an exhaust but VX 450 wires will fall short for cable management.

u have got 4 options...

scout-small, extremely good for lan partys

Haf922-my fav in this range

antec 900-luks ultra cool...but hafs quality is betr

nzxt tempest- qite common these days...

n my opinion u shud go for haf

^+1...dont really know about lian li...but i know its standard...go for it after getting all the info.

also chk out xclio..they have a pretty good line up too

chkd the lian li case...no question about the quality...but it can hold any 4 fans...cm 690 can hold 8 fans.

btw..the case luks stunning

^hmm.... i guess the W models have the panels, and the without W dont. The K60W is the one with the side panel.

Wht abt thermaltake armourmx..?

It also has a good cable management and side transparent with good cooling but its @ 8k...'

Antec 900 also comes in this range...' but above all cm 690 with side transparent is the best option or haf 922..' u can go any of these cases with cm 120mm fans comes in bundle pack 5 fans @ 800 bucks where a single costs 275...' so u r saving a hell in fans...'

NZXT Tempest or Antec 902 or those affordable Lian-Li mid-towers from Naga's GO if it's executed!

May I suggest a new NZXT Tempest modded by KMD ? I mean like what Saiyan did. In his case, it was a new CM690 bought and modded from KMD.

NZXT Tempest is the best because of it's large size, 6 included fans & 4 included filters

HAF 922, Scout & Antec 900/902 have no filters just a mesh

Antec 900 Series can't even fit a 10" gpu without moving a HDD Cage
