I paid less than u Edgetecs are good for dumping useless stuff such as movies . They cost around 22-23 per disc in a 50 stack. So u got them for cheaper . Of late though... i've been using the moserbaers. For more sensitive data, I use either Sony or Verbatim.

Hey Eazy. Aren't there any proggies to change the BitSetting of the +R disc to DVD-ROM for the BenQ like there is BitType Utility for Lite-On drives ? Did u try Nero CD-DVD Speed to change the BitSetting of the DVD+R to DVD-ROM ? The BitSetting option is under the Extra tab in CD-DVD Speed.

Was this message meant for me ?? The BENQ 1640 came with its own software QSuite which is GREAT.

Anyway here is a software that should do this and more - but you need ASPI to be installed for it to run ....

He did not have Verbatims SL when I checked 2 days back but last week he had a few Verbatim DL's for 450/- each - he said Prime bought this lot of DL's from him. This guy is under the Grant Road bridge - he has the corner shop next to the speaker repair people on the south side of the bridge. Right next to this shop is the narrow stair case that comes down from the middle of the Grant Road bridge - which you would take to go to the Connectronics - the cable and connecters people.

I have one problem which is very irritating - which is that I use MBI 8x +R and Edgetec 8x -R disks and all along one brand will burn at 8x and then the other at 4x - the moment I fiddle around with QSuite then these 2 brands play a switcharoo with me and switch speeds for no reason at all. Never do both burn at the 8x on one burn season even if I shut Nero and restart it. Any thoughts on a possible reason for this happening ?? BTW I have seen posts from people at CDFreaks mentioning that they too have similar problems.
