Look out for LG-DS-9533 if you can get it ny where, it's hardware exactly as Phillips 5016k. I have above LG DVD Player but not a Heavy Movie Freak so can't say how long lasting it, but so far no problem for me.

Thanks to this thread, i got a philips DVP-3046 yesterday for 3.3k pretty neat and it plays xvid's without a problem! Good VFM

Philips 5965 if you are a movie downloader.

Advantages -

- Latest Divx/Xvid support

- HDMI

- USB port

- Cheap

Disadvantages -

- May not last long

- USB port is reported to be slow

^^^ The USB port is the best part of the player if you have loads of dloaded movies and a powered external hdd (usb powered hdds sometimes don't work on this one)
