Well i couldnt find the Benq 1640 anywhere on Lamington Rd....and most ppl there dont know abt the Benq 1650.

Computer Selection told me that Benq 1640 is gonna be availale next week....but i was wondering if the 1640 will really be available then??

Or shld i get the Sony DRU 810A?? I was quoted a higher price i.e 3300/-
Can some1 get the Benq 1640????

Also wat is the diff between Benq 1640 n 1650??

Also i need to buy 512mb ram and also a HDD either a 160 or 200 SATA....can some1 help me with the prices?

One more thing i need is an external case for my hdd.....which brands are good?

1640 and 810 are the same drive, you can just crossflash the 810A into the 1640.

The 1650 has some improved components over the 1640, all the speeds are the same. Wait for the 1640, it's an excellent drive.

512MB RAM - Transcend should be about 2200-2300, check at Comp Sel.

200 SATA Seagate is 4.1K. Double check this..

I know that the 810A n 1640 is the same drive......but then shld i wait for the 1640?? coz its availibility is a real pain.....unless some1 can source it for me...

200 SATA was quoted as 4550/- n Transcend 512mb for 2100/-

No need to wait for the 1640. Get the 810, and I'll help you flash it to the 1640.

RAM prices seem fine, might want to check the prices for the HDDs again.
 
^^ Thanks man....hopefully tomm or day after go and i'll get the new stuff :D :D

Where do u recommend i check the HDD prices...coz i got these prices from Comp Selection....and Prime will add Rs 50/- each item (which i'll make them reduce)
 
can some1 get me the Benq 1650??? some1 had posted it costs ant 2.8k in bangalore i guess....

why isnt the damm drive available in mumbai!!!!!!!!!! :@ :@
 
Well, the second burn was better than the first. But that was oversped to 16x on 8x media. the second burn i.e Check the optical drive sticky

Will try another DVD later tonight and post in the Optical drive thread
 
^^ before doin that burn tonite....restart the pc n close down all uneccessary applications....
I am sure u'll get a a better burn...
