I have used Airtel quiet a lot. Actually before having MTNL broadband at my home, my primary net connection was Airtel GPRS /EDGE through Nokia 6630. But that was when they charged Rs 5 a day, then they increased to Rs 7 a day and then 15. This was getting ridiculous day by day so stopped it. Aircel as of now seems to work fine for me but it is too early to comment.

I know it is weird that though the call rates have become cheap as crazy the GRPS rates have actually gone up!!

I mean when will these companies realize that ppl need to use the internet too but we cant sell an arm or a leg to use it.

@Roxtin : I have used the Reliance GSM GPRS on a windows mobile phone. The speeds are quite good but the since it works through a proxy a lot of stuff doesnt work with it. They have even reduced the rates but the proxy thing still hurts.

Well I am trying to contact the CC since last 20 days still no one has been able to provide me settings for my PDA, all they say is take the GPRS settings through R World :P

^^ I have been using Aircel GPRS in Pune on my phone and am satisfied with it. For last 3 days i am using it on my laptop also and that too works fine. Speeds are Okiesh (as expected) but managable. Only good for browsing, forget torrents and downloads.

I have been using Aircel for a while, and have come out with a good conclusion, I have also observed my friends who have been using the same, it is pretty satisfying I should admit. The GPRS @ Rs 98/ is a plan worth trying its cheap, fast and steady as well. Just few tips which should be kept handy to make the most out of this plan.

Well I am sick of Reliance GSM services so switching back to my Vodafone number as Primary opting for the 499/- 500mb free service

I have even given TATA DOCOMO a try, again good speeds but the stupidest plans ever. First they announced Rs 90 gets you unlimited GPRS for a month, then they said oops, Rs 90 gets you 100mb for a month and then their site says this voucher isnt applicable in Maha, Goa and Mumbai ( I never went to the store to confirm).

Docomo providing 100mb for 30 days for Rs 95 recharge. For most other circles outside Mumbai, its unlimited for Rs 95 :@
