Graphic Cards Which graphic card to buy?

Hey i want to buy a really good graphic card. budget is 13k max. which one should i buy. i want at least 512mb o 1gb dedicated memory. and confused between Dx11 and Dx 10 .cause every ones like there is no point in a Dx 10 card any more since games are goin to be Dx 11. pls help

and m confused between the ATI 4790 and 5770
 
At what resolution will you be gaming and which games?
Choice of card depends on if you will be upgrading after a year or not. If you will be buying a new card after a year, get 4890. DX11 takes at least a year to mature. If you wouldn't be upgrading for more than 2 years, get 5770 1gb. You'll definitely see the benefit of 1gb of vram in the future.
 
well i won be buyin another card. thats why want to make the right choice. i read a few reviews it said that the 4890 outperforms the 5770 in Dx 10. the oly good thing abt 5770 is that it is Dx11 but its performance is not really that great.

and the resolution would be on my pc screen 1280x1024 and would like to connect it to my tv which is 46" so 1920x1080. i have a DELL xps with 256 mb 8600gt and modernwarfare 2 runs at high graphic and 2x antialiasing at 1920x1080 without much problem .so jus wanted to know which graphic card is better
 
A 5850 for 17k will be something like 50-100% faster than a 5770 1gb for around 12k or so. So it is pretty obvious as to what should be your choice.

I would say wait and save.

for 1280x1024 resolution u can try sapphire 5750 1gb for 8.7k

are u planning to use ur tv for games? or for movies?

u ll never face any problems to run movies in ur tv

if u want to play @ 1920x1080 u have to add extra cash....

IMHO u can wait some months to buy nvidia dx11
 
5770 is a good option if u want to play @ 1280 * 1024.. nd if u want to play @ 1920 * 1080 then u must go for 4890 nd mind it for better HD output on TV , Radeon series 5 is best as it has eyeinfinity feature..
 
Well, 5770 even can't beat the 4870. So either you can get 4890 or get a 5770 and be happy or wait till january/february for better pricing of 5850. :)
 
Get the 5850. You wont regret spending the extra cash..........
5770 can play all the games at high 1920x1080 right now, but this wont be true once DX 11 games come out. There is no point in spending 13K on 4890 as its an older generation card.

If you cant wait, then buy a 5770, but remember, you will have to crossfire it in like 7 8 months if you want to play all games at high 1920x1080....On my present rig, I can play all games maxed out at 1920x1080 except crysis (high at 1920x1080). See my sig for my current rig.

HD4890??

Well both are good, i suggest HD5770 personally..
 
If you have a 8600GT, you can game with that till nvidia's dx11 line up arrives. After that, you can decide on whether to buy a ati or nvidia. Ati will definitely adopt its trend of cutting down the prices after nvidia's dx11. 5850 would definitely be less than 15k by then.
 
Use your 8600GT now till feb then get HD5850 after price drop in Feb....I think you can wait since you'll b upgrading only once
