Which headphone should I go for

I am in market for buying a headphone for day to day use (music, office meeting, movies etc)

I have searched the internet and have found some suggestion. My budget is flexible but I want the most value for money product and good quality.

I have discovered the following options

1) Boat 551 Pro ANC - ₹3800
2) Soundcore Q20i - ₹4500
3) Realme techlife studio H1 - ₹5000
4) Jbl 770NC - ₹6000
5) Skullcandy Hesh Evo - ₹7000
6) Sony 720 WH-CH720N - ₹8000

All of them have decent features on paper. I am looking for the best bang for the buck product. I dont really care for the brand.

What is your prefered sound signature? Bassy or balanced ?
That sony has good sound quality with a slight warm sound signature. Not a bassy headphone but there will be enough bass for a non basshead person. Overall a pleasing sq. It got better NC too on this price range.
If you are using it for meetings only at home then it maybe sufficient but the mic quality might not be topnotch. It is not a dedicated conference call headphone. Something with dedicated mic unit will be the best option for that.

I prefer balance audio. I want something to be comfortable for wearning 2-3 hours straight

The thing about comfort is, all the closed back headphones will make your ears sweat eventually in long listening sessions if you are susceptible to it. And sony will be comfortable, saying from personal experience, with soft earpads and good design of the headband. But everything is subjective. If your ears touch the earcup then it will create pain after 1 hr or so, even if it is touching slightly. So I would highly recommend to try the headphone physically before purchasing or go with the assumption from prior experience with same brand.

Among the list of headphones that you listed, my preference would be
1 sony
2 jbl (bassy than sony)
3 realme
Avoid boat and Skullcandy at any cost

sony xb910N user here.

What a superb headphone. Everything is well balanced and a solid 7/8 out of 10 on all fields. Noice cancellation bolo, Music bolo, Bass bolo, Movies bolo, Comfort is also pretty decent. battery life solid, fast charging. Good carrying case,.
But yes talking on the phone ...I have heard people not very happy with it as they complain they cant hear me clearly so mic maybe little poor 6/10. It was mixed. Some were okay some sad bad.

Btw new version is out too which is called Sony Ultwear which is supposed to be more updated version of this. But it is on expensive side.

hope the above info helps.

Yes, that is why I am confused as sony are double in price than soundcore.
Is sony worth double the price?, no, I don't think so, but I have seen sony lasting a lot more than the soundcore. Also soundcore will be bassier than sony (talking about the mentioned model in your post, not the xb versions mentioned by others).
And most of these headphones have apps to tweek the sq.

Yes I do prefer a more bass heavy sound. And I understand the built quality might be better in sony but I would buy soundcore if its 90% as close as sony in terms of sound. Does that sound like a good idea?

I have no personal experience with soundcore but lot of reviewers praise them. But I don't feel like that it will be 90 percent of sony xb version. But hey it's a huge price gap so can trys soundcore. Read lot of user reviews before going with the purchase and try to demo it if possible.

Even I am quite price conscious in many stuffs I buy.
But I have used XB910N on trains, buses , walking on roads and noice cancellation is just amazing.

Now I don't know how well other brands perform in terms of noice cancellation.

But for me getting to watch a good movie in a train or enjoying music in crowded places while enjoying walking is worth it in the end.

This is true, sony has the best anc compared to all the other hp that op mentioned. Anc has improved a lot than the previous generation of sony of the same price range. Even the passive noise isolation is better because of the good pleather earpad. Definitely better than those realme and boat ones.
