Hi,
I'm replacing my PC with a laptop.

  • What's your Budget? Not more than 45-50k
  • What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? Online poker > browsing > downloading & watching movies
  • What size and weight considerations do you have? 15-inch screen and light weight
  • Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? None
  • Any other considerations? i-5 processor , 1920x1080p display minimum and good battery life and should be able to connect and use external 1080p monitor. Preferably with SSD.

I'm not going to play games , but I want it to be good enough for small photoshop work , etc.

Guys, can't find any 1080p laptop within 50k.. What's the reason?
I want to connect to a 1080p monitor and get full hd resolution.
What is the cheapest laptop for this?

Correct me if im wrong but the output resolution doesn't depend on the source device rite. Even if laptop is 720p , you can output 1080p signal to the monitor. i think it depends on the capability of the GPU

Yes, that is correct. My dad's 6 year old laptop outputs 1080p on my TV using HDMI, whereas it's native resolution is only 768p.

Almost all the laptops with HDMI out will output 1920x1080. You don't even need a graphics card. I used to watch movies with a ASUS Celeron netbook (which costs only 16k) connected to a 1080p monitor with HDMI. The laptop would output 1920x1080 resolution without any issues. An i3 laptop will be more than enough for Photoshop, net browsing & watching movies. Get a good quality i3 laptop. If you want to buy i5 then buy only the laptops with SSD. Otherwise you won't get the best performance.
