suggest more guys...

^^ If your cousin is into gaming, then neither of those would be a good choice.

If you don't want to wait, get the Lenovo Y560.

But my suggestion would be to wait for the Sandy-bridge laptops to be available.

he is not a hard core gamer but will play some advanced racing games few times in a day.

Why Y560?
The build aint great, loud, hot, low battery life!!!
Review Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

Pro
+ Strong performance
+ Fast 7,200 rpm HDD
+ Good gaming performance
+ Good sound with bass
+ Pleasant keys
+ Quiet mouse keys

Contra
- Weak battery life
- High load- & idle-energy consumption
- High temperatures & system noise under load
- Low-contrast, dark display
- High-gloss surfaces everywhere
- Bendable chassis

^^ As I answered you in another thread, no laptops at its price can beat it on performance.

@OP

I recommend that you wait for a month for the sandy-bridge laptops.

I am having XPS 15... It starts for 50K.... You can get it for 45K if you know any dell employee....

Its great... But only prob is battery life....

While gaming: 1Hr(Balanced)

While browsing: 3hrs(Balanced),4hrs(Power Saver)

Any problem, just call dell... Recently replaced HDD due to problems... They promptly came home and changed it... very good

Ergonomics, temps, noise, ports, service and chassis build quailty are also equally important IMHO.

Ergonomics -Decent

temps - Good except for the i7 model which heats up a lot

noise - average

ports - nicely placed

service - sucks like all other brands

chassis build quality - only this is bad but not as bad as some Sony Vaios

Dell after sales service is THE BEST,you can appreciate it only if you have owned it and i dont agree on your build quality point, vaios have much better build quality than lenovo G/Y series but i must agree that the thinkpad series have build quality of a tank.

You can go for a Sony Vaio E series in that budget :)
Just visit the nearest Vaio showroom and get a feel of it.

^^ I was looking for some laptops few days ago & checked out the Y560 & Vaio EB.

The reviews suggest that the Vaio has poorer build quality than the Y560. The keyboard gets depressed near the optical drive & the base lifts up while opening the lid. Plus the Vaio is costlier & has even poorer battery life of 2hrs.

I know that the build quality of the Y560 is not that great but you'll have to make compromises for such decent config on a low budget.

And why are we talking about the Y560 now ? Isn't it outdated already ?
