times of india was a good paper at one time but now the new owners of times want to be in the entertainement business rather than the news business.

right now its IE.
 
TOI....

Coz, I get enough news from it, and if I want more detail, I have the WWW at my beck and call :P

And it is entertaining. So, that is another plus.

And sometimes, the editorials are really good.

And oh yeah!!!1

This paper really takes people power to a new level. Total activists these people are :P Taking on the govt and it's policies. And making fun of the deadlines. They put pressure on the govt to keep up thier deadlines. At least the B'lore editorial team..... I like them a lot for that reason
 
IE for me too .. TOI has more ads than news and they promote their self brands a bit too much in TOI. that pisses me off. HT is also kewl.
 
TOI was my favourite as well but I no longer like it coz of the reason stated by apollyon and mohit. Now I read The Telegraph.
 
i too agree that the times of india are really more into a 24x7 carnival spirit ..

The day the kiwis beat the aussies wen they were nearly dwn by scoring in the 300's ..

that piece of news was simply missing and instead the dumb editor had taken space for all the non sensical stuff .. a pg full of cricket news and sch a news was missing..

But still hanging on to it .. Shayad bheje mein akkal ghus jaye ..

Where's the Asian Age? That would be one of the better papers in the nation.

Regarding TOI, and I'm saying this not because I work there, but it's making a bloody good effort these days to deliver quality. And it's about time too.
 
TOI rocks...keeps me informed with all the news and like a gr8 dessert after a great meal, has all the glam sham masala as well.. :bleh:

Ah, the free Mumbai Mirror is great, not for the content but for the additional weight in RADDI, that i pocket!!:rofl: :rofl:

Added Hindustan Times for a few months since launch in mumbai!! Nice but discontinued later!!

This happened to a pal of mine!!:ohyeah:

He was on a flight to New Delhi and was reading MidDay!!
An american or Englishman asked him for the paper for a few minutes when my friend switched to his lappy!!
Few minutes that guy went through the paper and then returned it with the accompanying thanks!!
A minute later he says- "Nice Daily, lots of ads and Beautiful Indian WOMEN!!"
My friend barely managed a feeble smile!!:rofl: :rofl:
 
No Economic times, thats easily the best.
TOI also reports a lot of trash on front page. Midday is hopeless
