38 is a lot for such a sport. 4+ G's at every corner is nothing to laugh about.
Mindbending levels of concentration and finesse is required throughout the session, something you begin to lose after 28.
It's a wonder he can still handle an F1 car like that at his age, to think he's twice the age of half the drivers on the grid.

Nice argument. But somehow, I have to agree with saumil.
He is GREAT. No doubt. But unless he is superhuman, I dont think he can stop normal life processes from happening. Like slowing of reflexes, lesser energy, stamina, etc....
Of course, I hope he goes on to win at least 1 or 2 more championships beyond 2006. but it looks doubtful if he will stay beyond 2006.

I think MS is afterall not a super human and it wud be a wise decision to retire if he feels that he wont be able to keep up with the fame in the coming years..
After all a man can best judge his own abilities..he has had his share of accolades, so theres no point pushing it too far to the 40s when he may not be as agile as he is now...but it beats me to wonder how is he so agile even at 38?:S
