Which ISP ????????

as per your budget tata is costlier if you need 256 kbps.

if you can go for 128 its decent.

i have applied right now for 128 kbps conn. lemme see whether ifs feasible in my area or not.

ps edit: @unrealistic : are you from surat?

Bsnl's 900UL plan seems good. I m thinking of that, just talked with a VSNL guy, but didnt like their Plans

For 1680(inc Tax) u get 3month UL but @ 64kbps.

For 2800(inc Tax) u get 3months UL @ 96kbps. They dont have a 256kbps plans currently. So it will be Bsnl for me.

@Medpad: Do u know the CC or any Contact No. for bsnl. I cant find it anywhere on the website. Thank You.

Naw, I'm from Mumbai, Andheri (W). I just spoke to the Airtel rep. Free Installation, Modem, Telephone Line, Service Gaurantee, Dedicated Line; but dedicated IP, gotta pay 2,000 IRS per year for static IP, and have to pay 1200 IRS instead of 900 IRS for the 256kb connection.

I'm going to give Airtel a shot in the next 2 weeks, soon as my Sify expires.

I think oths are better than bsnl coz many times I can't establish connection at first attempt though I am using BSNL Data1 connection

This also depends on ur Local Exchange & also proximity of ur house to the exchange & determine whether ur line is clean or NOT!

bsnl will give u really good speeds.. the 32kb will come...
ofcourse it is server dependant but the 32kb assurance from their end will be there...
basically is the site is good then u`ll get the speed...
