Biostar TA790GX A3+ 16GB DDR3 or Asus M4A785TD-V EVO 16GB DDR3.

My processor will be phenom X2 555BE or Athlon X4 635

Budget for Mobo is 6k can be extended a little!!

what about the PCI express slot to add GPU??

Which PSU?? Corsair CMPSU-400CX 400W Power Supply or Seasonic 380W PowerSupply (S12II-380) budget 3k

Stick with gigabyte boards. There were few people whom I seen in other forums (and maybe couple of them) who had tough time with asus boards, specifically this board. When gigabyte is making hassle free and great boards for the price with a pretty good RMA reputation, why look anywhere else when you can buy the best for the money? Biostar does make pretty good board but you get better boards for 6 grand.

I think you get gigabyte GA-MA785GPMT-UD2H for under 6k. JM2C!! You can wait for other people to comment but beware of rave and vague "advice".

I THINK Biostar TA790GX A3+ IS A BETTER CHOICE AS HAVING MUCH MORE UNLOCKING % THAN ASUS...AND BIOSTAR ARE CHEAPER THAN ASUS.....

Unlocking is possible on all Biostar/Asus/Gigabyte :) Asus n Biostar lags in onboard sound quality compared to Gigabyte. Rest u decide whichever u like...on parameters of looks, OC potential etc. If u want cheapest in 'cost' then Biostar, if u gonna buy external sound card then get Asus EVO or else go for Gigabyte for total VFM !!!

i vote for biostar. havnt seen a single issue with biostar 785/790 mobos anywhere. They are really robust and is well stable on extreme OC.

biostar's default bios can unlock in 99% cases, unlike gigabyte and asus. Also the power consumption of biostar is bit better than others, due to its BIOSTAR G.P.U (Green Power Utility ). It works magic.

Moreover, ive seen some issues with the asus 785 EVO. it has limited number of mobo fan connectors and temp sensors. So you cant monitor 3/4 fans through utilities like speedfan.

check speedfan screenshots of the two:
