Graphic Cards Which one shd I go for?

Like u said tht card wud be tough to find cause my tech guy said he can't find the card in the market not even the 5800 series:( ,But he could try to get the 5900 series,Btw I know the FX series sucks but since I am so desperate I thinkk I might go for the 5950 Fx card or any other 5900 series,Does anyone know how much the 5900 series card wud be(including the 5950 card) and also the 5800 i.e. the 128 bit.

ehh u cud get the 6600gt ago variant, shud work good wit hthat board,i think ur engg meant only the pcie variant is around which isnt true

U mean there is an AGP version of the 6600GT card:hap5: ,could someone confirm this(pls let there be a ray of hope)..Btw wht's the price for the 5900Fx series and 5950,5800 series too.

:( Sigh...as fate would have it(I'm not destined to get the 6600GT card),guess it's onwards with the FX series cards.Could anyone tell me which fx cards r good for playing bf2(128 bit).

^^ Dont buy an FX card, Radeon 9800 pro would be a better bet, there are a few on sale at TE. Also in case you are intrested my friend is selling his MSI card for 6k.
If you find a 9800 pro below 5k buy it, much better then the FX series.

BTW why arent you destined for a 6600 GT there are loads of them in the market, if your dealer wants to dump his old fx card, get a new dealer ( Most of them are pea brained ). If you are so hell bent on getting an FX card fx 5950 if you are getting at 3k, would be a decent deal. BTW forget running dx 9 mode on the fx series, BF2 will look slightly better then HL1 on the fx series...

I wouldn't touch a Fx series if given for free :P !!

It's ok for rendering the desktop and all

OK j/k

but seriously don't get the Fx series if you value your money. A 9800pro would be a better bet. There is one for sale in the TE market right now.

BF2 will not be any better with 9800P ..... u have o play with low setting ..... how much ram do u have on full details the game require 1.6GB of local data ... :)

Buy a Leadtek WinFast A6600 GT TDH if you have AGP 8X.

or,

Buy a Leadtek WinFast PX6600 GT TDH Extreme if you have PCI-E 16X.

BIG 6600 GT would be a decent buy since its the same as the BFG OEm version. In any case your CPU will be a bottleneck for most of the newer games.

If money's the problem then pick up the 9800 pro selling in the TE market section for 6k. I know the guy who's selling it, so you can trust him.
