Hi Guys,

Was planning to buy a scanner to scan tons of old photos and negatives at home. Have a budget of around 6-7k. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Vinay.

Any decent flatbed scanner should do the job. Check out the Canon LiDE 110 or the HP Scanjet G2410. Should cost around 3.5k to 4k. If you are so inclined, you could also get a multifunction device (Print, scan and copy) in your budget.

EDIT: Noticed the "negatives" part just now. HP G3110 or Canon LiDE700F should fit your budget.

^ have to agree with above recommendations. Get the Canon Lide. HP has trouble scanning negatives properly. (The one i used had. The exposure was too low and negatives would come underexposed - like they were taken at night).
