Budget 0-20k Which processor to buy for AMD Radeon RX 6800XT?

Recruit
Really need a good processor for animating and editing, one which has the least bottleneck with the RX 6800XT GPU.

Budget under 20k.

Honestly depends on your budget.

For no limits, get R9 7950X.

The minimum I will recommend is R5 5600 + MSI B550M Pro VDH WiFi.

Something better will be i5 13500 + MSI B760M A Pro.

You can never remove the bottleneck 100%. There can always be a scenario which will run better on a more powerful CPU wrt productivity.

Is R5 7600X + MSI Pro A620M-E any better than the latter two combinations you suggested?

If budget is not a constraint, get the 13900K.

For productivity, no. The i5 13500 slightly edges ahead of even R7 7700X in multicore productivity applications.

For gamers, I will recommend R5 7600 + B650.

Seriously, mention the budget. IF building the whole PC, fill the form & make a new post, tag me there.

The budget (only the processor) is to the side of the thread title.

I don't see how you can fit even R5 7600 + A620M for 20k, will cost closer to 30k easy. Surely it's faster than R5 5600, similar to R7 5700X for multicore performance with superior single core performance. DDR5 RAM costs are still higher than DDR4, can get a decent 16GB DDR4 3200MHz for 3k vs 4.7k for a decent DDR5 5600MHz CL36 stick.

R5 5600 + budget B550, like Gigabyte B550M DS3H for under 9k is a good bet for ~22k.

the budget of 20k is only for the processor.

That's not how you should budget.
Specify budget for the total platform, CPU + mobo + RAM. Like R7 5700X & R5 7600 perform similarly in multi-core performance, but 7600 outperforms 5700X in games & single core tasks. Both CPUs cost similar but platform cost will be lower on the 5700X rig vs the 7600 rig because of higher mobo & RAM prices for R5 7600.

IMO get R5 7600 based rig or i5 13500 based rig, if you can afford it. Latter is far better for productivity applications.

13500 rig might cost 40k.
