Anish consider this.....the 3000+, 3200 3500 and 3800...all come outta the same parts bin essentially....and the lower speed ones are basically set locked for stock speeds....(but OC'ing is an essential part of the AMD 64...
What I'm trying to say is the thermal specs on paper aside....if the core in identical a 3000+ will run @ 2.4 (the 3800+ stock speeds) with no probs....except maybe 2-4 degrees more heat....considering that the most efficient chunks of silicon become 3800's and the least become 3000's......though if u run a 3800@ 2.6 Ghz and a 3000+ @ the same the 3800+ would probably have a longer lifespan....
