hello every buddy,

i needed to know about the casing fans which i want to buy soon and their prices also , kindly help me out in this selections as i am a noob about knowing what fan runs at what speed and how much it pumps the air :(

no favorite brand just needed 120mm fans + want to know what else above 120mm is available at what price :)

don't ask about budget as it will be decided after reading the posts out here :)

plz provide the brand fans which pumps the max air :)

sorry for this format as i am learning to get friendly with my talk .

pls to reply... :)

If you don't care about sound, Get delta fans. They are monster movers of air, but make SOME noise.

Check out mediahome.in, it has got it listed.

i want good air flow ;) and also want to know that what r the different size they r available and ( above 120mm) and how effective they r with their big size in compair to 120mm and then i would prefer to buy 120mm more or 120mm + other big one and combine them in my cabby :)

I would personally recommend the Cooler Master SickleFlow series priced around 400 ~ 500 bucks a piece with LED
or
For brute air movement with nothing about the noise better get the Cooler Master BladeMaster ( non-LED only ) around 600 bucks a piece

both listed prices are from S.P. Road Bangalore from Golccha Computers :)

120mm fans are the best trade off between sound and air pushing, 140mm pieces are there but too damned expensive ~ 1K per piece Lian Li

Blade Master 120 - Cooler Master

SickleFlow 120 2000 RPM Blue LED - Cooler Master, hope this helps :)

Performance : Delta 120mm 120 CFM fan - Extreme cooling but very noisy. (Rs 350)
----- OR Scythe 120mm 110CFM - Excellent cooling but noisy. (Rs 500)

Quiet : Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Fan 50CFM - Decent cooling but quiet (Rs 800)
------ OR Xigmatek XLF Orange-White/Blue-White LED fan 60CFM - Good cooling and quite quiet (Rs 350)

Balance : Cooler Master Blademaster 120mm 80 CFM - Good cooling but reasonably noisy (Rs 500)

Remember higher CFM = more noise

If I were you I'd buy the noisy Delta fans and then connect them to the fan header on my motherboard and then control the fan speed. Not only are they cheap but this way, when I need cooling I can just increase the fan speed (and bear the noise).

If you don't have a spare fan header on your motherboard then buy a less noisier fan like the Xigmatek fan or Blademaster.

EDIT: You have the same motherboard as me, that means you have just one extra FAN header. Well I recommend either the Xigmatek or Blademaster.

A better option than the BladeMaster in noise department is the Cooler Master SickleFlow pushes 5 CFM lesser air, but looks cooler and is much more silent :), you get 3-pin to Molex converters with SickleFlow in the package itself

You have to hit a balance between the airflow and the noise

Simply going for the high noise blowers will not help at all. It will cause irritation to you, specially when the cabby is close to your ears

I learnt it the hard way, trying the scythe slipstream and the delta fans. They push a lot of air but they make quite a big racket

Now, I have the ultra silent CM budget ones as case fans and Noctua PF12 as cooler fans

My cabinet is now super silent and the temps are to my liking

I could have reduced a couple of degrees plugging the scythe fans everywhere, but for the noise they make, its just not worth the temp drops, for me

about cabinet silence, ive seen that placing fans as intake,in front of grills or meshes cut into the case, produces a loud whine.how to fix that?
@RD274,
your mobo has 1 header for the case fan and another for NB fan right?is it safe to run fans off the NB header?(i have a 785gm mobo)

Which CM budget ones are you talking about? I am also looking for super silent non-led 120mm fans.
