PC Peripherals which RAM uses Hynix D43 & D5 chips

SCSI

Adept
As many TE ppl keep writing that most indian RAMs have hynix chips I wanted to know which are the ones to use Hynix D43 & D5 that can clock around 270-280Mhz DDR

How are Simmtronics RAMs???

D43 appears in OEM Hynix RAMs..

I've seen that Simmtronics uses Hynix chips too..but am not sure if they are D43..

D5..the chances are verrrry slim....

Original Hynix uses D43 chips. Havent heard of Simtronics though...

Even Zion uses D43 chips but for some stupid reason they do not overclock at all...

None of the companies "speed grade" the Hynix chips in their RAM modules so as to say. So what you get cannot be assured of those speeds. On a side-note D43 is spec'ed to run 400Mhz DDR, D5 is spec'ed to run 500Mhz DDR. However D43 attains fairly high speeds usually.
What you could look out for is D43 on BrainPower PCB's - they seem to be having an extra edge. Rockyme has them and managed to pull out some amazing timings on them :)

No offence intende but D5 and D43 won't clock high untill the latencies are relaxed to 3-4-4-X.

Anyways what's usually the best Voltage for DT-D43.

Yeah I think D5 won't available here as they are used in PC4000 to PC4200 modules

Anyways thanx 4 the response

^^ search the forums and u'll get the pics.. :D

and please refrain from making 2 consecutive posts with in a few seconds of each other.. :)

Did I ever say they clock high at 2-2-2-5?? :S

If you're referring to the part about Rockyme getting good timings on them - please read carefully , I never said he OC'ed them AND got tight timings ;)

And don't u think i wud b better off i provided link to the same pics :hap2:

I have 2 Modules of Kingston Value RAM 512 MB DDr 400 in dual channel. It came in A sealed kingston package and each RAM had a kingston sticker on it..

However they are both Hynix D43 based sim's. That's the marking on the CPU's.

But when i open Everest Home edition or CPU-z. It shows the RAM modules in the 2 slots as Kingston and The Timings as 3-3-3-8.

SO does Kingston source the RAM from Hynix?? Is this original Kingston or was i ripped off?

And is Hynix D43 any good??

Kingston doesnt make its own ICs. Companies that make ICs are Samsung, Micron, Hynix, Mosel, Infineon, Winbond etc. Kingston/Corsair/OCZ etc get their ICs from these companies, put them on a PCB, add the associated circuitry, do the speed binning and testing and finally release these DIMMs in the market with their brandname. So if the IC comes from hynix, u'll see their name on the IC even though the ram is sold by kingston.
