Newegg does not ship to India. Best bet is to get hold of somebdy who is returning from US next month. Or u can catch a guy called KMD (Katmandude)
in Erodov.com forum. He will ship it to u in reasonable price.
 
which ram u want depends on what type of system u want to build. what u want to do with it? my suggestion is that if u want to build a medium system ur choice is good, any OCZ/CORSAIR 1gb ram would be good. But if u want to make a powerful system u have to go for dual channel ram pairs atleast 2X1GB, that again will cost u a fat cut.

I am sorry, but that had to be said.

Now that is out of the way, on to your questions:
1. Newegg does not deliver to India. I really wish it did, but it doesn't. If you can ask your friends, relatives to get it for you from them, the more power to you.

2. For recommending the brand, type and speed of RAM that is right for you, we would need the type of system you are looking for; which means we need the processor make (AMD/Intel), Processor name (Pentium 4, Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon64, AMD Athlon X2, etc).

Since you are going for a new system, I am assuming you will be choosing the processor released within the last 1 year to make my recommendations, which means you will either be getting a Core 2 Duo (Intel) based or Athlon X2 (AMD) based system.

You need to look for DDR2 RAM which is the RAM type that you will be looking for. For speeds, I'd say anything at or above 667 Mhz is good enough.

For brands, I would go for, in order of priority:
1. Corsair XMS2 series
2. Kingston
3. Transcend

Im building a moderate level gaming p.c with Low level overclocking

components are

processor - e4300

motherboard - asus p5ne- sli or p5ke-wifiap ( not deluxe ) ne ideas about the price plzz mention ..

Ram -- wanna import some Gud 1
hard disk - wd 250aks X 2 < raid 0 >
 
But the question remains the same how..can i get a foreign brand ram and at what taxes and duties ..

Ive seen many of the senior members having

corsair

mushkin

g skill rams

so plZ guide me a bit regarding he procedure involved ..thanX ...

Also which is the best .. local ram brand available in india for ovrclockin

There are some memory deals in the Market section; it would be a good idea if you looked there first.

All the brands I mentioned, are available in India (at least in Mumbai).

If you live in a different place, you might want to check the deals and the market section for good, reputable dealers. Make sure to ask plenty of questions first.
