Z5500 sucks everywhere. What you need are different speakers with uncompressed sources and not crystallizer. The latter is just an inverted gaussian over the frequency range. Mids are actually suppressed.

I had DX back in June and at that time the encode was n ot working for me for whatever reasons and since DX and D2X have almost the same drivers(they have the same audio processor), so I am dead set against the D2X for now. If some one can show me proof of working live encode I will back off but not until then.

Xonar essence also very sad for movies coz it has AV100..

D2X has got much better processor than DX..

DX has AV100 sound processor

D2X has got AV200...

Most of the reviews I've read, has doubt over if it's really a different processor. There's notion that Asus basically uses better-binned parts for D2X of the same chip, so essentially it's the same AV200 processor rebadged as AV100 on DX.

The features difference between both the cards comes from other components.

But yeh... D2X is the way to go.

Duuuude... stop spreading sooo much FUD! ABX a DX and a D2X.. not much difference at all over analogue!
