I am going to buy a MP3 player probably on 1'st April.. Main use will be during Jogging/ Cycling / during Gym, well it should not be bulky and must have 2-4Gb space.. I was looking at these what do you say which 1 ? Big screen is not necessary.. Must have good audio output .. Will be spending 5-6k max..

Sony India : MP3 Walkman

what people have been buying on TE for ages- the Transcend T630. you can get the 4GB for 3.5k

and .8k for the ep 630's if you dont have them already

at 6k, you can get something that plays video

How about a ipod Nano 3g....looks amazing,brilliant display,ultra portable...

Playback quality is pretty good too thought not perfect.

A 4gb version retails for close to 6k.

Feature wise T630 seems to be very good for its price. Seems to be a good buy.

I was about to suggest Meizu M3. It might end up more expensive than T630, but has support for more file types(ogg, flac) and video. In terms of size little bit more in HxW but 5.5mm thinner than T630.

T630 - 73x33x12.5 - 30gms

Meizu M3 - 81x39x7 - 42gms

I have not used T630, but my M3 felt lot better than my friends iPod classic and couple of generic ones he had.

IMO these would be much better buys compared to sony unless ones looking for brand name.

did some research on the subject. in terms of audio quality the best combination is sandisk sansa express 2gb (exp +2gb) costs around 2500 and ep630 of creative.
the digit review also rates it as the best performer

i just ordered a Cowon d2 for a friend from USA.

4GB on board memory. It also comes in the 2GB flavor.

Fits ur budget and requirement.

Even Lord Nemesis has ordered one i believe, dunno how u missed his thread.

but he has gone for a 4 GB model plus loads of goodies along with it.

sony players isnt as bad as some tend to believe..infact some have really good audio output

however if d2 suits ur specs...go for it...sony isnt good when talkin abt features
