I for one am not... The game does not deserve that high a rating... 9.5 for what... The game has nothing new in terms of story... Gameplay is

is different for few levels but is too easy with the suit and story sucks... Ahhh already covered that...

Come on... Aliens invade earth and one man with a suit can save the planet...

HL1 anybody... duhhhh...

COD4 is lot more fun as compared to crysis... And it does not need a gfx power station to run unlike crysis... I am so happy i didn't upgrade my PC for crysis... Or for that matter my Gfx card... Playing GeOW, COD4, SOF and Crysis and Crysis comes on no 3 in the list...

Thats what i think...
 
i haven't had a chance to play it for myself yet, but yeah i'm hearing this from some people. their usual assessment is that the first half of the game is free form and contender for goty (or even best game ever material) but the second half loses all freedom and becomes a run and gun shooter on rails. from what i remember, far cry was pretty much the same (those horrible alien like things in the trees is where i started getting pissed in far cry). of course, any mention of the name far cry in a crysis thread is sacrilege, so i'll leave it at that :|

That's how most of the games are these days.
Everything is either a mindless platformer, first/third person shooter or cookie cutter RTS.

I think except BioShock, Psychonauts and Dreamfall, pretty much everything has been forgettable in the past 2 years.
Atleast we got TF2 on the multiplayer front, brilliant game.
 
well i found it kinda boring and yea.. its some wat on the lines of HL1

but Unreal Tournaments 3 totally kicks ass :D

found it real fun :D :D

those 4 abilities dont add much to the gameplay ..in the end im stil found with this rut
shoot>wait>snipe>occasional strength = nothing of sorts i cud do as shown in the opening vid...i wanna play MP and ill let u know my opinion ...
but yea 9.5 err no ...maybe 8 = good
 
I agree switch. CoD4 is so much better in gameplay, 'efficient' graphic effects (which hardly tax ur system) and game presentation than Crysis...crysis seems only a little more than a dx10 advertisement....hell GoW gives me more kicks than Crysis in gameplay...badass shooter
 
I will say it again and a million times if i have to, CRYSIS looks like HEAVEN and it is also arguably the best looking game EVER. As for the gameplay i too feel that its sad compared to COD4 and Crytek could have done much better . But still guys Crysis is Crysis after all, i mean fck the gameplay, see the fking visuals man they are just unbelievable and just imagine the challenges Crytek might have faced to get to that level of detail. In future i am sure there will be games using the Crytek engine with better gameplay. I forgot to say that the A.I in Crysis is just amazingly Fckall....very sad A.I. Needs a patch badly
 
Crysis is a system killer and yeah COD4 is really good compared to crysis also UT3 seems more fun and delivers a good frame rate unlike crysis.
 
crysis is eyecandy..sure it lacks d intensity of COD4 but d gameplay really depends on how u play d game.
u can make d game as intense as cod4 wid a head on approch or jus sneak past..as d sniper missions in COD4..but for me crysis has much more replayable value dan cod4 coz d game is never d same (unless u playin it 10th time)..Surely cod4 has much better n fast paced story line.

COD is a sure winner amongst both the games

CRYSIS is all Cosmetic. sure the GFX is awe-inspiring, but we gamers are more inclined towards, gameplay+gfx. Crysis tests you PC to the max, whereas COD4 is easy on HARDWARE & still looks awesome.
IMO CRYSIS would be around 7.5/10 & COD4 would be 9.5/10.
 
Most ppl used to shootem ups..they jus wanna have fun..if u want gameplay CRYSIS will offer u variety . COD4 does have some variety..shich is forced (u dont have a choise) but not to d xtent crysis does..its still jus a war game but more intense.

To actually enjoy crysis u will have to be innovative ..use diff combinations of ur nanosuit along with the things in d environment n u will c how amazing d game play is..d problem is dat most ppl play crysis like any other game..jus go n shoot d enemy down..if u want diff in game play be innovative.

As for gfx..cOd4 has good gfx ..but still not on par wid crysis. (at max details)
u also have to remember dat CRYSIS does a lot more dan jus gfx..
jus look at the physics , the level of interactivity , huge open levels (initially), partial nonlinear gameplay...so it does a hell lot of more processing dan COD4 ..so ppl who think dat CRYSIS is taxin ,jus think again.

ny ways u can xpect kimi to win F1 championship in a spykar..u have to give him a ferrari. :P

Crysis has the best graphics and realism to date. The 1 hour I've spent playing it so far, I generally like it but there's nothing new other than the nano-suit.

And die-hard Crysis fans who think Crysis does not look or play like FarCry, well, my wife seen the game and asked why I was playing FarCry again lol. Afterall, it's from Crytek... that's what they know and do best.

haha, well, I decided to keep my nose out until I get the retail version :) I'll be buying CoD4 alongside as well. so hopefully, I can land a neutral judgment ;)
