A little biased, don't you think?
I rate MMS as one of the worst PMs we've ever had.. rubber stamp for that gori-chamdi foreigner. If it weren't for our fascination for white-skin, that glorified waitress wouldn't have the hold she has on the Con-gress today, and by extension, over the country.

little??... its fully biased....then everything is :)...atleast it was a well reasearched one...you cannot imagine anyone writing so about MMS unless it is nothing but a bag of lies....MMS only negative part you can write is wat u already wrote....

and if advani is the next PM....he will take over the worst one yet title

^Believe what you want to believe. Madam is the brains behind the PMO, everyone knows that. Name one initiative other than the nuclear deal promoted solely by MMS, overriding Madam's directives. One!

^ Its always about choosing the lesser of two evils.

Personally I'm shocked people would consider voting for a party that has an underlying message of HATE. You guys should read all the sweet talk written in the BJP election manifesto under 'Minority Communities' and co-relate it with what the leaders actually end up saying on TV.

^ I don't think we should delve deeper into this. Political discussions like this tend to become a mud - slinging contest usually. Everyone has and opinion to put forward in such cases, and many are not so moderate and can hurt sentiments.

(That sounds very ambiguous and truly political I know :P)

Personally I feel anything is better than Congress. I have never seen our country make good progress under Congress. Too many people like Arjun Singh there. But the other choice is bad as well - you have a party of fanatics with Advani, Rajnath Singh and Modi at the helm. People like Jaitley and Shourie who are the smart ones, are pushed to the side, as they can't put up a proper act. Modi is intelligent, but he knows that he can't win without appeasing the boiling sentiments of the people in Gujarat.

Congress and all other parties play divisive politics even now. That's why the middle class in cities at least needs to rise up and check the profiles of all leaders before they vote. A good site to look at is the following:

Loksabha 2009 candidate affidavits India - information from National Election Watch

Sorry if it feels a little harsh, but that's my POV. I have digressed from the topic I know, but wanted to just let some steam out :)

Cheers

Well tell me how was India, or Indians any safer under Congress then under the BJP?

Eddy, I am not denying that BJP is taking the hindutva bandwagon to the extreme, but you have to acknowledge the fact, that if BJP is an extremist, most of the Congress+allies are cold hearted criminals of first order who will do anything for votes.

Also Congress on its own would be more effective, but with the support of Left it is absolutely crippled, it cannot make any decisions for the betterment of the country. Look at the hard facts when NDA lost last time the GDP growth rate was 9% it has trickled down to 4.5% now (global slowdown not withstanding) it was slipping from the 1st year Congress was in power. I am of the firm belief, reduction of poverty will eliminate most of the problems, then a "secular" crippled party ever can achieve.

the only problem is for local issues independent local parties are more good...but when they become partof centre..they are all corrupt.....

See SS,MNS,BSP,sp and others........
