Graphic Cards Whose IQ do you prefer? ATI or NVIDIA?

hey rockfella give us some side by image comparision ........

....one thing i know for sure is that the image quality on dadicated gfx is much better then a onboard one.......in onboard department all red and green and blue [intel lol] ; RGB team sucks...........anyways i used RGB onboards and nvidia gfx card and i can say that it is good..........never used a ati card though hence option #3
 
haha rockfella tell others about how happy are u with ur 4850 :rofl: , the cooling of his 4850 sucked , he tried to clean it and broke the fan fins , now he is only left with puny 3450 . :rofl:

I had never suggested an ATI card to Rockfella, neither i had any kinda conversation with him about ATI before except with SidhuPunjab. :ohyeah: Its his personal choice what he likes..He had owned X1300, 8600GT, EVGA 8800GT, 3450 & now 4850.. he found ATI IQ better over Nvidia, so what is wrong with that? i would never use the word fanboy to him & neither i'm.. just my personal choice that i support ATI. heck, i'm fed up with this ATI tag with my name..:P

Rocky might come up with some screen shots, comparing IQ between 8800GT & HD4850, so stay tuned..:)
 
^ he never tested 8800gt on 22" monitor , he only used it on old 19" , when he got new monitor his 8800gt was dead . he has only used ati cards till now on new monitor .
 
problem with me is i dont get transformed easily, i dont consider it a blessing either :no: I am not promoting ATI neither i have anything against nvidia, this POLL has no word called "performance" OR "VFM" anywhere ONLY IQ ;)

ATI's AA is better and the texture quality is crisper than nvidia,nvidia's AA seems to blurrier.nvidia's AF quality is better,almost perfect,while ati's can lead to shimmering in some cases,mostly older games.
ATI for me. :)
 
Will do shortly :P, buy a cheap low profile ATI latest gen card, use it see diff just for the heck of it.. :P

Yaar tbh...i am not at all unhappy with 4850, breaking 4850 stock fan was an accident. The POLL is only on IQ, i am not promoting ATI neither do i have anything against nvidia, its a POLL for IQ only NOT a buyer's guide. OT: I will use 4850 as long as possible and will buy 5870 hehe.. but definitely with a dual slot cooler. Just like 8800gt the cooler of 4850 really sucks, it wont kill the card fast but have low temps is always peace of mind, well everyone knows the stock fan is like a mini mixie inside ur cabinet.

Well dont you notice? even back-up card is an ATI :rofl: HD movies are sharp n crisp on puny 3450. Well... if you cant find difference between ATI & NV consider yourself lucky... ignorance is bliss :rofl:

I knew you would come up with this some day and i had saved this one for the last. I will try to use my 3450 on Goldberg's PC on the 30th, will try n get SS. I will get his 8800gt home also, it will be a direct comparison ;)
Did u check the POLL %? .. sir?

lol XS guys are nuts,almost every thread over there becomes intelvsAMD or NVvsATI and ends with name calling and mod action.your topic really stirred the hornet's nest there.:rofl:

edit:the screenshot you posted from Hocp's review over at XS shows differences in AA,and the abnormal rendering is not uncommon on nvidia cards in crysis,missing details from rocks has been reported in a few reviews and the crysis warhead comparison in PCGH review is interesting.

looks like the same thing as in Hocp screenshot.
 
I dont mind that tag either... am an IQ fanboy u may say, the day I feel NV has better IQ am gonna drop ATI like a hot brick hehe.... ;)

frankly,, while playing a game like say crysis, do you ppl actually have the TIME to sit and stare at individual rocks and realize that they aren't getting rendered properly?
