Why are Indian News Channels always shouting out news in a loud, tinny, urgent sounding voice?

Why? Because Arnab showed you can run a successful channel with a bunch of stringers instead of a brigade of journalists.

He's the poster boy of this kind of infotainment in India.

My friend from Poland just left few days ago.
I can share this message ..

There are other messages which is related to it but has personal information.

But how loud we are generally not just with news channel.
On Roads too. Continuos honking most of the time for no reason.

It has become our culture now.
I have seen foreigners frightened when they hear honking like this especially when they crossing roads.

I agree. He has immensely harmed journalism in India.
Got its standards so down .
Good that he didn't visit during the festival season. The noise and pollution goes up several notches and every organiser feels they have the divine right to go louder and noisier than the one before. In general, there is little consideration for the society at large and the general mentality is the louder you are, the more attention you will grab, in all aspects of life.

Not sure whether good or bad but if someone from here, goes over there it will be very different from what they are used to. Same if someone from over there comes over here. Its different.
But agreed on the louder you are the more attention you grab bit.

Noise? Haha, that's a small part of the full spectrum. A friend said very eloquently that India is a rape of the senses. Every sense -- from the stench of nalis/trash heaps/random poo/unregulated manufacturing, to the taste of extreme spicy adulterated god-knows-what-banned-pesticides-containing spices, constant honking/yelling/full speaker volume zombie reel watching, sweltering heat with electric outages, brutally ugly broken infra/lack of building code or aesthetic, dizzying and numerous ways to assault the mind with absurd stupidity (today's reminder was an electric pole in the middle of a road) -- every sense is covered. To a foreigner used to living in even a 2nd rate western country, visiting India is a constant assault on the senses. It is chaos in comparison to their usual lives.
We just normalize the horror so much that we don't realize how terribly broken things are here. The clueless yelling talking heads on news is tiny fraction of what needs work. A lot of work.. to value living.. the reason we earn.. to live at peace and in order and beauty.. that is the purpose of civilization rather than the jungle law that pervades here.
