Why are users getting banned?

Did someone ban @bssunilreddy ? He's been blowing up our whatsapp group. Apparently he wasn't informed why he's banned for a month either. He alleges some misunderstanding. If someone can look into it and maybe go a bit easy and explain to him what he did wrong. I know some of the issues, maybe consider lowering the ban duration if it wasn't a serious breach of rules.

Actually since the TE contest he has been posting AI stuff directly in a bid to win the contest. Some users even asked him to instead post the link to such content rather than copy pasting google ai results.
Out of curiosity, if a person has warning points, but no ban, are they not allowed to post, like in this situation, where he is saying he's banned for a month? His account isn't showing as banned, that's why.

I was skeptical regarding his reviews at TE. the amount of content he post needs a great amount of research. mystery solved for me.

Does this mean I can steal his photo and make a new avatar?

It was quite obvious for old members who have interacted with him previously so we know his style.

Now a days I don't post much because the normal write up is nothing against AI generated replies and you look like a fool at the end. (Feels either people became too intelligent or I am too dumb)

Keep it real, brother. Most on this forum are natural in their replies. The relevance of your posts matters more and not how you beautify them.

He was banned for two days by one of us mods for posting AI generated content despite warning. However due to a config/glitch, he got banned for 1 month. He reached out and his ban was reverted. We are all well meaning members, some require more reminders than others.

All moderators have access to issue warnings and decide warning points and expiry. At certain points threshold, the member may get banned till the points expire. Its similar to Formula 1 penalty points system which can lead to your FIA Super License suspension if you accumulate enough points.

On the contrary, people value user generated content more now as it is natural and relatable.

Yeah I always write my posts, though as a man of few words my posts are small but to the point.

I am one of them and it feels odd arguing to an AI where your limited knowledge is no match to huge LLM's

P.S. This is human generated text, feel free to ignore typos and errors :tonguewink:

If you keep worrying about this, your online participation will also keep reducing to almost nil. AI content will only grow exponentially as more and more people get access to it. The internet changed when from nerds and professionals, the masses took over in the 2000s with the social media frenzy. It's changing again now that AI bots and AI generated content by masses are overwhelming it. Brace yourselves and try to keep up or we will also become outdated like our parents' gen who couldn't troubleshoot a missing shortcut from their desktop.

Also, there's no point in feeling bad about one's 'limited knowledge'. There is no such thing as 'unlimited knowledge'. AI and LLMs are just tools, you can always fact-check yourself or learn new things from it before posting anything in your own language, in your voice and without sounding like AI slop.

My motto is if you already look like a fool you need never worry what others think

I don't feel bad about my limited knowledge and I keep myself updated every now and then. Its just that now there isn't much time to research before posting.

TE is not something where I come just to prove a point, its like a group of friends where you just want to be
