CPU/Mobo Why Asrock boards aint recommended

Well the innovation is there but something like this you miss on a lot of features... And forget about overclocking at all... Also asrock is not known for high end products... Hope you got it...

i have used asrock 845 b4 on a northwood 2.8 it easily overclocked without any heating problems to 3.1ghz also got a agp slot and that too for 1900 rupees what else cud u ask 4

than whats so personal about asrock or were all guys comments for that specific board only
 
asrock 865 is good...rave managed 2.4 to 3.3GHz OC on his celly on it....
 
Asrock, has some qualiy issues, personally I will never compromise on a mobo. If it fails after say 2 years it becomes a big issue....

You maybe right, but I have realised old tech is really useful if you wanna make a download bot, or an FTP server or a Firewall server etc. And I want my hardware to last atleast 4 years, I can confidently say a mid end Asus mobo will last me so long, whereas most of the lower end mobos including Asrock, Mercury etc start giving issues.
 
Whenever its getting motherboards here in India.
ASUS is the word that strikes my mind for its superb motherboards & quality of service.
Looks no further.
Also MSI & Gigabyte are next after ASUS.
 
I think aces has made a point.U can't compare ASUS/DFI/MSI mobos with ASRock(Though its part ASUS) and crappy mercury.

The quality of the mobos like ASUS etc. is very very high.Infact i have an ASUS A7N8X-Del which was burnt at a screw hole by a freak incident which is running top class for the past 2years(The incidant happend on the first day of buying the board).
U can't say that with boards frm mercury etc. infact i saw some mercuries go bust within 6-8 months of purchase.

Another point is the good driver and BIOS updates which r really helpfull.

Just my 2cents...

dude take it in a biz sense count the depriciation of tech and ur roi on investment on tech for geeks they will find ways even to make use of their 386 and 486 but the end user its no use after 2 years as none of the applications then available will be working smoothly on it who knows three years down the line after the 64 bit tech if the cell proc(the one used in ps3) really kicks in u can have a completely diffn tech so out of the box tech rules and 2 years for a mobo is good eno as far as they aint charging like asus atleast it doent beat u down the belt where u feel the most like it does now when i go to sell my 3 years old p3 system which i got it for 58k and getting 6-7k now that too no willing buyers

and my asrock 845 is still runnin good almost close to 2 years now

My cousin bro has an asrock 865 Mobo with a p4 2.4HT on it. Its been running @3.2Ghz for the past 1yr with no probs whatsoever.

However, ASUS has a rep and a service to back it up..so i wud definitely go for an ASUS anytime (actually i am..next month). :D

Ahem Plz use punctuations. :) About the end users well arent ppl on this site end users ?? I know some ppl still using their p2 as firewalls, p3 as servers and i hope u know how old they are. Finally it comes down to the resourcefulness of the user. So instead of selling that system for cheap, salvage it convert it to a server, htpc etc...
