I am all for opening up Information.
@Desecrator - The problem you ve mentioned can be referred to as thread crapping or low-balling which you get in most clear sale threads anyways. If the seller is bothered by someone haggling over a price figure from a closed deal thread, he is free to ignore the person and may be even report him to mods. The advantage of not deleting the prices is open not only to imminent sellers but also to prospective buyers. Yes you will get nut cases (who will comapre prices and haggle), but here its a question of the larger good.
@DarkAngel - Although its a wonderful source of information to those who want to sell, not everybody gets a reply for their queries in "How much i can sell this for?" thread. Not pointing out anything here, but the extra info (previously closed deal prices) wouldnt hurt.
