I want to know this. I planning to buy one based on the excellent reviews it has over here and it is going to replace my almost similarly priced Transcend MP860 8GB but am not able to find these kind of extremely positive reviews anywhere else. Will be using them with JVC marshmallows.

Buddy, that depends a whole lot on which features you're specifically looking for.

Like if you want good audio quality, then its excellent at that price.

But if you're looking for a snazzy UI (like Ipod and all), then it just ain't there.

And as for the extremely positive reviews, you should look into those specific reviews for features that have been appreciated by that person and then decide whether your requirements are same or not.

Also, people may have massively different choices when it comes to audio, so you should first streamline what exactly you're looking for in your player, whether its out-and-out sound quality, UI or feature set for the price, etc.

Thanks for the reply :) . Im looking for an improvement in Sound Quality most of all(Main Reason). All other features of the player dont matter. But the UI shouldnt be too laggy, such that ill be waiting for it to change screens. But the problem is most of the reviews say dont except anything much from it either in sq or other features, but it is vfm contender for the ipod.... etc.

For pure SQ, I guess Cowon D2 or Amp3 Pro would be great choices.

You'll get D2 easily but I don't know where to find Amp3 Pro in India.

^Thanks again!:) and forgot to ask, does Fuze+ have spatializer or some kind of virtual 3d setting(not SRS WOW) which makes it seem like a movie theater(Had this in Meizu Mini Player. It had amazing SQ and this spatializer effect. Sadly it died after a 3 story fall)? And does it have more than one custom eq setting? And about the Cowon d2 it is available at 4GB max and it is costing a bit more than I am willing to spend presently. Im looking at a sealed fuze+ 8gb bought in October for Rs.4450. Is it a good price? And are there any other options in this price range?

I haven't used Fuze+, so can't comment on that.

And going by the ebay listings, Rs4450 seems ok, provided you trust the source.

Where did Fuze+, the one with the touch screen got excellent reviews here? Can you please link it. I seem to have missed it.

Im sad that it died. Not that it died after a 3 story fall. I actually loved it and want to buy another one if it can be easily sourced.

@All: So it is a pain using the UI. And when I was talking of the reviews I meant about the SQ which is said to be same as Fuze which as good reviews here. Do i have any other options? Can Meizu products be easily sourced from somewhere or do I have better options in that price range?

The Fuze+ has the same sound quality of the predecessor Fuze. The UI of Fuze+ with the original firmware was extra sensitive. The battery life and the screen size of the product is superior compared to Fuze. The original firmware did not have lock feature. The Fuze had very intuitive navigation wheel, the capacitive touch screen of Fuze+ is vastly different. Some of these feature has been corrected in the latest firmware, which has been released 3 days back. The SQ of the Fuze+ is same if not better.

We can send the Fuze+ to one of TE members for review and trial. You can have first hand impressions.

Fuze+ UI is pathetic. Unusable for me. I don't know how people use it with many folders or long playlists. :(

Did you try the latest firmware update? It has inertial scrolling. I find it better than the initial firmware.
